FAQ

Amsterdam center has many public boarding points for the canal cruises. Most boat operators can start the tour at the following locations:

  • Oosterdokskade 8 (5 minutes walk from the main station)
  • Anne Frank Museum
  • Hermitage (on the Amstel)
  • Hotel The Grand

The desired / possible pick-up location can then be clarified directly with the organizer. If you want to have a specific pick-up location guaranteed in advance, you should inquire with us in advance so that we can confirm this for the desired boat. Otherwise, the organizer will contact you immediately after booking to discuss the details.

Regardless of whether you have sent a direct booking or just a booking request, you can send us any change requests. We then check together with the boat owner whether the number of people for the selected boat is possible. Depending on the boat, however, a surcharge may be charged. You will then be informed of this in advance.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa Card, Master Card, American Express) as well as PayPal and IDeal.

If you have booked a boat directly and the payment has already been processed, this is in principle booked without obligation. If you have made a non-binding request for a boat and have not yet successfully completed the payment process from the payment request email, the tour is not yet firmly booked. We can then remove this request from the system.

There are some canal tour operators who have German-speaking captains. If you are explicitly looking for a boat that guarantees this, please contact us. We will then be happy to give you the boat recommendations for a canal tour in German.

Smoking is permitted on most open boats. In the half-open boats it is usually also allowed in the open part. But if you want to be on the safe side, contact us beforehand so that we can contact the boat operator.
